OUR SERVICES

WHAT WE OFFER

Social Skills Events

Our social skills events are a bit different from the typical social skills curriculum groups you have probably seen, just like us! We wanted to create social events accessible to anyone who identifies as neuro divergent.

Another unique feature that helps us stand out is that we are offering drop in events that are skill focus specific so you can sign up for as many or as few events that you are interested in. What this means is that if you just want to work on your sportsmanship skills then sign up for our events that have a sportsmanship focus. We did this to remove current barriers to service as not everyone is able to commit 8+ weeks for a curriculum group or sit on a long waitlist. We do this without compromising quality of service.

When you sign up for our social skills building events, you can expect high quality teaching to build a variety of social skills using Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA). All of our events are overseen by a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA) and yes, you can use your Ontario Autism Program (OAP) funding for our services as we are registered on the OAP Service Providers website. See your own/teen's progress on skills from before the event to after.

Brief vs Comprehensive Assessments

Brief Social Skills Assessment

Our brief social skills assessment includes questionnaires, knowledge assessments, direct observation, interviews, and social skills probes to identify where your/their current skill level is and identify a 1-2 social skills goals to work on. Included in the assessment package is an assessment report provided to you with the results displayed and recommended strategies for building those skills. This report can be shared with your clinical care team and school to better support you/your teen. Please note that the duration advertised is for the direct assessment only. This assessment will be conducted by a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA) who is on the Ontario Autism Program (OAP) providers list (or overseen by a BCBA on the list), which means you can use your OAP or childhood budgets for this service. We recommend that you sign up for our initial intake service first to discuss the service options available and provide some background information. The initial intake is provided free of charge. Looking for something that will provide you with more information on where your/their skills are across a variety of social skills targets? Check out our comprehensive assessment package.

Comprehensive Social Skills Assessment

Our Comprehensive Social Skills Assessment package includes a curriculum assessment that is completed to show where your/your teen's strengths and areas of improvement are on a range of social skills, such as problem solving, social conflict resolution, identifying body and social cues, responding to social cues, etc. Interviews, questionnaires, and skill probes will also be conducted and the results of these assessments will be provided to you in a comprehensive assessment report with recommended strategies that you can share with your clinical care team and school. Our assessments are completed by Board Certified Behaviour Analysts (BCBA)s who are on the Ontario Autism Program (OAP) providers list, or overseen by a BCBA on that list. This means you can use your OAP funding or childhood budgets for this service. If you are interested, we recommend signing up for our initial intake service first, which is offered free of charge. Please note that the duration of this assessment is for one assessment session only. The number of assessments sessions will vary based on individual need. Don't think you need such a comprehensive assessment and would rather find out where to focus on next? Check out our brief assessment package.
